Donate during Green Friday
Black Friday? At Noshirt, we turn it around. During Green Friday, we give a gift not to you, but to the earth. We are doing so with Justdiggit. This non-profit organisation aims to cool down the planet by greening parched landscapes in Africa.
Water bunds
One of the ways they do this is by digging so-called 'Water bunds'. These are crescent-shaped pits (also called earth smiles) that collect rainwater. Thanks to these bunds, the water that falls has more time to soak into the soil. This gives seeds a chance to germinate. The result: after just one season, the landscape looks greener. And the soil stays cool. Cool, right?
Green together
During Green Friday, you don't get a discount at Noshirt, but the chance to donate a green smile. When ordering, you can choose to pay an extra 4 euros for charity. Don't need anything, but want to join in? Then buy a single Water bund (or two, or three). We will double your donation. For 8 euros, Justdiggit can dig one new bund in Africa. This way, 124 m2 of parched land gets a chance to recover.
